Une fois n’est pas coutume, voici un nouveau tableau, engagé.
Le fond est constitué des extraits d’un texte de Stephan Hessel (diplomate, résistant, écrivain et militant politique) « Indignez-vous » (2010). Dans cet essai, il appelle les êtres humains à ne pas accepter le creusement des inégalités. Pour Stephan Hessel, le « motif de base de la Résistance, c’était l’indignation ». Il enjoint notamment la jeune génération à chercher des raisons de s’indigner et à ne pas rester dans l’indifférence, tout en évitant la facilité du recours à la violence.
Alors, si par ces quelques extraits, le rappel de ses phrases pouvait avoir un nouvel impact, cela serait formidable. « RESISTER C’EST CREER, CREER C’EST RESISTER ».
Octave est un beau mouton, comme beaucoup, qui a gagné le 1er Prix – The best of the Sheep. Nourri à la soupe et aux Fake-news. Le tableau invite à réfléchir à notre façon d’aborder le monde et ses actualités, en avalant des nourritures « intellectuelles » prémâchées, orientées et dont la véracité peut être remise en question. Arrêtons d’être des moutons, si beaux et « Fluffy » soient-ils !
Ré Apprenons à réfléchir par nous-même, à chercher les informations non transformées, à utiliser nos capacités humaines et intellectuelles à bon escient.
Avec cette question « Dessinez-moi un esprit, mais Libre ! », le tableau fait référence à Saint Exupery et son petit prince, mais aujourd’hui, les moutons sont trop nombreux. Nous voulons des esprits aiguisés et indépendants, capables de critiques, de propositions et d’actions.
Il y a urgence. Aux nouvelles générations : lisez et apprenez à vous servir du plus bel outil qui existe et qui n’est pas un smart phone, mais bien un cerveau.

The background consists of excerpts from a text by Stephan Hessel (diplomat, resistance fighter, writer and political activist) « Indignez-vous » (2010). In this essay, he calls on human beings not to accept the widening of inequalities. For Stephan Hessel, the « basic motive of the Resistance was indignation ». In particular, it urges the younger generation to look for reasons to be indignant and not to remain indifferent, while avoiding the ease of resorting to violence. So, if by these few excerpts, the reminder of his sentences could have a new impact, it would be great. « TO RESIST IS TO CREATE, TO CREATE IS TO RESIST. » Octave is a beautiful sheep, like many, who won the 1st Prize – The best of the Sheep. The painting invites us to reflect on our way of approaching the world and its current events, by swallowing pre-chewed, oriented « intellectual » foods whose veracity can be questioned. Let’s stop being sheep, as beautiful and « Fluffy » as they are ! Re Let us learn to think for ourselves, to seek untransformed information, to use our human and intellectual capacities wisely. With this question « Draw me a spirit, but Free ! », the painting refers to Saint Exupery and his little prince, but today, the sheep are too numerous. We want sharp and independent minds, capable of criticism, proposals and actions.
There is an urgency. To the new generations : read and learn to use the most beautiful tool that exists and that is not a smart phone, but a brain.
